/ The Victoria Lyon Centre hotel obtains
the Green Key label

We are delighted to announce that our hotel, the VICTORIA LYON CENTRE, has this year been awarded the Green Key label, the leading national and international environmental label for tourist accommodation!

We're proud to be one of Lyon's Clef Verte 2025 winners!

Obtained this year, following a process initiated by our management, the Green Key label is a philosophy to which the entire team at the Victoria Lyon Centre Perrache Confluence hotel adheres. The label meets strict criteria described in specifications common to all European Union countries.

On a daily basis, the members of the team promote energy saving, good water and waste management, as well as raising staff awareness of the need to improve the local environment to ensure that your stay is a responsible one.

/ What is Green Key Label ?

The Green Key / La Clef Verte network, the leading national and international environmental label, includes almost 2,300 establishments on 5 continents, including more than 600 award winners in every region of France.

The label is awarded to tourist accommodation (campsites, hotels, self-catering cottages, guest rooms, tourist residences) and restaurants that can prove to an independent panel of experts that they have an effective, continuous and dynamic environmental management system.

/ Our commitments
to protect the environment

Water is a precious resource, sometimes even a luxury in some countries, so let's save it!

During a hotel stay, a guest uses an average of 400 litres of water a day. So if, for example, you don't leave the water running while brushing your teeth, using a toothbrush can save 10,000 litres of water per person per year.

Washing a towel requires a lot of water, electricity and detergent...so it's best to change it only when it's really necessary! We can keep towels for several days (see our instructions).
We can choose a shower rather than a bath. A shower uses 5 times less water than a bath (50/250 litres). Here, it's automatically a shower!

The toilet bowl is not suitable for waste (tampons, nappies, medicines), which can impair the functioning of the wastewater treatment plant and risk being discharged into the natural environment in an unhealthy state. Remain vigilant!

/Our waste
are also increasing!

According to various sources, a hotel-restaurant produces around 5.5 m3 of waste per room per year. Add waste water, and you come to around 90 m3 per room per year. Our establishment sorts its waste, so help us! Together we can reduce our waste at source (choose products with little packaging and that have travelled little!).

For these reasons, the Hotel Victoria is committed to preserving the environment and has put in place sustainable actions:
- Sorting waste / plastics / cardboard / glass / cartridges, batteries, light bulbs
- The entire establishment is equipped with low-energy LED lights to ensure that energy is used sensibly.
- Heating limited to level 1 or 2 / can be changed by customers on site.
- All our rooms are equipped with hydro-economical showers and aerators.
- Bed linen is changed every 3 days in rooms staying several nights (except on request).
- Use of several ecolabel-certified cleaning products
- customer invoices printed on request, sent by email by default.
- printing of bank card receipts at the customer's request only.

/ Your actions
count :

  • In order to limit water consumption, we ask our guests not to change their towels every day. Our cleaning team will only change your towels if you leave them on the floor in the shower.
  • Please check that the washbasin and shower taps are turned off before leaving your room.
  • To save energy, for stays of more than one night, you can refuse the cleaning service by hanging up the DO NOT DISTURB door tie.
  • We invite you to turn off the lights in your room and unplug your appliances when you are not in the room, and to set the heating thermostat to level 1 or 2.
  • Don't hesitate to return your recyclable waste to reception.
  • Use public transport to get around. Metro station (A) and tramway (T1+T2) 100 metres from the hotel. TCL tickets on sale at the hotel reception (subject to availability). Velo'v (self-service bicycle) station nearby.
